Wondering where to donate clothes, household items, furniture, toys?--ABRI SK accepts all donations of clothes, toys, furniture and other household items and gives them to orphanages in Pecenady, Trebatice or Bernolakovo and the directors allocate the goods as needed. There are about 50 children in Pecenady and Trebatice and 50 children in Bernolakovo. They can also use furniture for the apartments they provide for young people after leaving the orphanage (their association is currently financing two such apartments) or donate it to young people leaving orphanages or to teachers/educators who have low salaries. The association’s primary goal is the financing of apartments for young people leaving orphanages in order to give them 2-3 years transition time to find jobs and to integrate into society. Their secondary goal is to help with psycho-therapeutic assistance for children who have been abused. The intake of clothes and furniture and household goods is an auxiliary activity. Zuzana will make arrangements to pick up donated items. Call first to find a convenient time and location for pick-up. Her mobile is 0949 164659. Katka works at both St Vincent (airport shelter) and at St Luiza ( Horsky Park) so could advise where best to physically drop off donations. The airport shelter is reached by taking a road/track on the left just before the airport car park, about 400m after turning off the main road. You go up over a bridge over the traffic and the shelter is at the end of the track. The Horsky Park shelter is easier to find, but there are maps on the website under "contact". http://www.branadozivota.sk/kontakt/?PHPSESSID=7e27b63f6c40a05c225a0050811f2b76 - Shelter for women and kids - Clothes for women and children, small toys, furniture after agreement http://www.majak-nadeje.sk/ - Abused family shelter - Clothing, kitchen appliances, kitchen items, books, toiletries http://www.domovduha.sk/kontakt/ - Abused children - Seasonal clothing, toys, administrative stuff, laundry detergents http://www.notabene.sk/?kontakty – Homeless shelter - Clothing http://www.centrumnadej.sk/ - Abused families - Clothing
